According to glavcom.ua: France plans to restore the cultivation of six forgotten grape varieties that were once considered harmful. It is now known that the restrictions on these varieties were unfounded, and they may become an important resource for winemakers in the fight against climate change.
This initiative will not only expand the range of French wines but also make its cultivation more resilient to the whims of nature.
The restored grape varieties can help reduce pesticide use and increase resistance to fungal diseases, making the growing process more economically and environmentally advantageous.
