According to Главком: Roman Yashchuk, a 36-year-old soldier, died on December 24, 2022, during the Russo-Ukrainian war. He served in the 10th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a grenade launcher. The place of his death was the village of Bilohorivka in Donetsk region, where he gave his life for his native country.
Roman Yashchuk was born on January 2, 1986, in the village of Seredynka, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from high school in the village of Vyla-Yaruzki in Vinnytsia, after which he worked as a carpenter in the city of Novoselytsia, Chernivtsi region for the last 15 years. His life changed when he decided to defend Ukraine, leading to his service in the army and participation in intense battles.
Recognition and Memory
Posthumously, Roman Yashchuk was awarded the Order of 'For Courage' of the III degree, which recognized his bravery and courage. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Zelenyi Hai, Chernivtsi region. He is survived by his wife Yana and two daughters - Svitlana and Krystyna, who will remember him as a hero.
Yana, Roman's wife, expressed her feelings, stating: 'He is the best husband and dad. He is my universe and the air I breathed. Forever our Hero, for all our lives in our memory.'
