According to Главком: A Russian drone struck the Kharkiv Art Museum in the early hours of June 10, igniting a blaze. Rapid evacuation efforts ensured that the institution's most valuable artworks emerged unscathed, according to Ivan Verbytskyi, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine. Firefighters responded quickly and extinguished the flames, preventing further damage.

City Under Fire: Waves of Drone Assaults

On June 9, the Russian military launched multiple waves of attack drones against Kharkiv. These strikes left five people injured, including a child. Explosions were reported in at least five districts of the city, notably Nemyshlyanskyi and Industrialnyi. Residential areas were hit, sparking fires and damaging homes and vehicles. By 10:29 PM on June 9, authorities confirmed that five individuals had sustained physical injuries or psychological trauma.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov personally joined the rescue operation, carrying paintings to safety in bomb shelters.
