Croatia Chooses Its 2026 Eurovision Contestant

According to Главком: The band Lelek, performing the song 'Andromeda,' has won Croatia's national selection show, Dora 2026. This victory secures their place as the country's representative at next year's Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. The competition featured 16 participants, with semi-finals held on February 12 and 13, and the winner decided by a combined voting system.

How the Voting Worked

The final result was determined by a split vote:

  • 50% of the points came from public televoting;
  • 25% from a Croatian professional jury;
  • 25% from an international jury.

The Croatian jury panel represented the cities of Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, and Osijek. The international jury included music industry professionals from San Marino, Luxembourg, Norway, and the United Kingdom.

Lelek achieved a total score of 173 points, putting them in first place. The top five acts in the selection were:

  • Cold Snap with 'Mucho Macho' (108 points);
  • Stela Rade with 'Nema te' (93 points);
  • ToMa with 'Ledina' (71 points);
  • Devin with 'Over Me' (61 points).

Lelek will now represent Croatia at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. This selection highlights the vibrancy and diversity of the Croatian music scene and underscores the importance of national finals in providing a platform for emerging talent. As one of the world's most-watched non-sporting television events, Eurovision offers a significant opportunity for artists to gain international exposure.
