Car imports to Ukraine increased by 17%: leading supplying countries named

According to hvylya.net: From January to July 2025, over 224 thousand passenger cars worth a total of 3.2 billion US dollars were imported into Ukraine. This information was provided by Ukravtoprom, citing data from the State Statistics Service.

According to the data, the volume of imports of both new and used passenger cars increased by 17% compared to the same period in 2024. The total customs value of the imported cars increased by 22% over the seven months, reaching nearly 3.2 billion dollars.

The leader in supply volumes is Germany, from which over 50 thousand passenger cars were imported.

The top five largest suppliers also include the USA (over 39 thousand cars), China (almost 23 thousand), Japan (over 20 thousand), and South Korea (over 14 thousand).

The increase in car imports indicates an improvement in the purchasing power of Ukrainians and the stabilization of the automotive market even during a difficult period. However, the increase in the customs value of cars by 22% with a 17% increase in the volume of imports suggests a rise in the average cost of imported vehicles.

Ukraine is experiencing a 17% increase in the volume of passenger car imports, with leading suppliers remaining Germany, the USA, China, Japan, and South Korea. This may be a sign of improving economic indicators in the country and demand for transportation among the population.
