According to Главком: Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has dismissed reports of a car accident involving his son, Adam Kadyrov, labeling them as fake news. Earlier, various sources reported a crash involving Adam Kadyrov's motorcade that allegedly resulted in one fatality and sent four injured individuals, including Adam himself, to the hospital. According to data, approximately 18-20 people sought medical assistance.

The opposition movement Niyso has confirmed that one person died in the accident. As reported by 'Novaya Gazeta Europe', the deceased was the driver of a car that collided with the motorcade's vehicle after it reportedly ran a red light. Journalists state that Apti Irasakhanov, head of Adam Kadyrov's security, who suffered a spinal fracture, was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles. The Chechen authorities have not officially commented on the situation.

In response, Chechen authorities released a video showing 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov holding a meeting with security officials about election preparations. The video, which has no audio track, only background music, also shows him receiving an award for his purported role in enhancing security at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Journalists analyzed the video's metadata, which revealed it was edited on January 15 in Adobe Premiere Pro. The draft file was named 'Raw\Meeting Dustum 15.01.2026', with 'Dustum' being Adam Kadyrov's call sign.

Ramzan Kadyrov remarked that artificial intelligence can now deceive anyone. He noted that while 128,000 accidents occurred in the country, resulting in 13,009 deaths, news of his son's alleged crash became a top global story. Kadyrov also stressed the importance of combating disinformation, pointing out that unreliable reports about the republic always generate a particular media frenzy.
