According to РБК-Україна — Lite: The band KADNAY is set to perform on July 18 at the Generation Festival in Dnipro. This festival takes place across four Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Lviv. During the concert, the group will showcase their well-known tracks, including:

  • "Vidpusty"
  • "Santiago"
  • "Disco Girl"

Frontman Dmytro Kadnay shared memories of his childhood and youth in his native Dnipro.

"Dnipro is home to me. It’s the city of my happy childhood, dreams, and beginnings. The smell of my mom’s baking at home and the scent of warm wood at my dad’s workplace. The streets where I walked to school number 22," he noted.

Dmytro Kadnay also recalled his early musical journey: "The piano that endured 7 years of my efforts to play preludes, études, and nocturnes."

Kadnay spoke about his passion for basketball, which he nurtured at School No. 31, where his idol was the legendary Kobe Bryant.

"Playing basketball late into the night at School No. 31, because Kobe Bryant is my idol and I’ll learn to shoot a fadeaway just like him," Dmytro said.

His first performances took place in a student theater, and the debut concert of KADNAY was held on the Dnipro riverfront, where the audience was distracted by free yogurt during the show.

Dmytro Kadnay also remarked: "For me, Dnipro remains a city of strength and hope. It holds its ground under enemy fire and continues to thrive." He noted that returning to his hometown brings him peace and joy.

"My family lives there, and when I go back, I feel calm and happiness, laughter and coziness. And my hope-it never fades," he added.

The Generation Festival, where KADNAY will perform, has become a significant event for many music fans in Ukraine, especially amid current challenges. The band’s return to Dnipro may help strengthen the connection between artists and their audience, while also highlighting the role of cultural events in boosting public morale. KADNAY’s performance in the frontman’s hometown could serve as a symbol of hope and renewal during these difficult times.
