According to glavcom.ua: Interior Minister of Ukraine Igor Klymenko met with local community leaders in the Odesa region to discuss the readiness of regions for possible power outages and enemy shelling. According to the portal 'Glavkom', a number of decisions aimed at improving cooperation among services and preparing for potential crisis situations were made during the meeting.

Each region must have its own action plan and headquarters in case of emergencies. The Minister also emphasized the importance of being prepared for possible attacks on the energy infrastructure of certain regions of Ukraine, highlighting the need for effective coordination of actions among services in such situations.

During the meeting, a number of decisions were made, including:
  • Establishment of headquarters for coordinating actions in the event of prolonged power outages.
  • Preparation of personnel of the National Police and State Emergency Service for an intensified mode of operation.
  • Updating data on power grids and communications to optimize resources in the regions.
  • Provision of mobile towers to ensure communication for emergency services in case of crisis situations.

At the end of the visit, the Minister expressed gratitude to police officers, rescuers, border guards, and the guards of the Odesa garrison, acknowledging their professionalism. According to The Economist, particularly with the help of drones and missiles, Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure are becoming increasingly aggressive.
