The coalition will allocate 165 million euros for the demining of Ukraine: what the Armed Forces will receive

At the beginning of 2026, a coalition of countries for demining promises to allocate at least 165 million euros to provide Ukraine with equipment and machinery. This information was announced during a visit to Ukraine by the coalition coordinator, representative of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Rolandas Kiskis.

It was also noted that these funds will be used to purchase various types of demining equipment, including mechanized demining machines, mine sweepers, demining systems, and more. These measures will significantly enhance Ukraine's capabilities in this area and help in the swift clearing of territory from explosive devices.

'International partners are also preparing to provide additional resources for training and educating Ukrainian demining specialists, following NATO and IMAS standards,' the Ministry of Defense added.

Participants in the meeting also included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iceland and the NATO Support Group in Ukraine. It is worth noting that the Demining Coalition consists of 23 countries, including Ukraine, European countries, and Japan. Canada, the Netherlands, and the USA act as observers and partners of this international initiative.

Ukraine will receive substantial financial assistance from the international demining coalition to improve capabilities in this area and quickly clear territory from explosive devices. Partners are also ready to provide resources for training Ukrainian demining specialists in compliance with NATO and IMAS standards.
