Russian tennis player Petrova added to Peacemaker: reason

Former world number three, Russian tennis player Nadia Petrova, has found herself in the database of the 'Peacemaker' website. This news was reported by the portal 'Glavkom'.

It is noted that she is accused of complicity in the crimes of the Russian authorities against Ukraine and its citizens, as well as in war propaganda.

Nadia Petrova participated in a propaganda event called 'Russia - Sports State', which took place in Samara and Togliatti from November 5 to 7 this year.

Representatives of the occupying structures of Russia in the territory of Ukraine, including from Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions, also participated in this event.

Participation in sports competitions with the occupiers who are waging war against Ukraine contradicts the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee regarding the participation of neutral athletes.

It is worth noting that the 2026 Olympics will take place in Italy from February 6 to 22.
