Embezzlement of 140 million for heating in frontline cities: scheme uncovered

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office uncovered a criminal scheme that caused losses of over 140 million UAH in providing heating and water supply to suburban cities in Donetsk region.

According to the investigation, the group members inflated the cost of equipment and services that went under the management of a suspicious company, which received a contract for over 200 million UAH for supplying and connecting a boiler in Selidove and Ukrainka. However, the work was not completed due to the lack of necessary equipment, but the funds were paid.

Fraud also continued in Sviatohirsk, where payments were made for unfulfilled or substandard work. Members of the criminal group falsified documents and pressured enterprise managers to place objects on the balance sheet.
