At the U23 World Championship in Serbia, Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestlers impressed with their performances, winning gold and silver. The Crimean Tatar wrestler Irfan Mirzoyev particularly excelled, becoming the world champion in the 77 kg weight category, and Ivan Chmyr won silver in the 87 kg category. Yegor Yakushenko also guarantees Ukraine a medal, having reached the final in the 97 kg category.Ukraine showcased an impressive result at the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing 10th in the overall medal tally. The Ukrainian team claimed 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making it the second most successful performance in the history of the country's participation in the festivals.In addition to this, Ukrainian athletes won medals in sports such as judo, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis. Finally, at the Summer Universiade in Germany, the Ukrainian team concluded their performance with a bronze medal won by Mykola Rushchak in the 20 km race walking, thus adding a total of 12 medals to the overall wealth of the country’s sporting achievements.
