Deputy from Vinnytsia avoided mobilization using a disabled girl

A shocking story of an inventive method to avoid mobilization was revealed to law enforcement by a deputy from one of the city councils in Vinnytsia. Instead of serving in the army, he proposed to purchase a disabled girl to exploit her illness for his own benefit.

“At the end of 2024, the official learned about two sisters, one of whom is an 18-year-old girl with a second-degree disability, who, due to her illness, does not understand the significance of her actions. Taking advantage of their dire financial situation, the man offered the older sister to 'buy' the younger sister for 3,000 UAH a month. The woman agreed, and part of the money received was later spent on repaying loans.”

For this cynical act, the deputy's 18-year-old 'purchased' accomplice gained her independence - the victim is now safe. The suspect faces a significant number of years in prison.

Tendency to avoid mobilization through fictitious marriages

This extraordinary case is not isolated. In Dnipro, there was already a similar incident when a man, artificially entering into a marriage with a disabled person, also avoided military service. For a similar scheme, he had to undergo two years of probation.

In this news, we encounter scandalous attempts to avoid mobilization by exploiting disabled individuals for personal gain. Law enforcement manages to uncover such schemes, and the culprits receive well-deserved punishment for this cynical misconduct.
