Times Square Evacuated Due to Suspicious Item: What is Known About the Incident

According to glavcom.ua: The police in New York decided not to take risks and, upon receiving a signal about a suspicious item near Times Square, evacuated everyone from that area of the city. Bomb disposal units and emergency services arrived at the scene, and tourists were urged to leave the area for safety reasons.

A cylindrical device was discovered near the area of the New York police at Times Square.

The police immediately reported the circumstances of the situation, urging people to avoid the area. People were prohibited from crossing the closed street regardless of the type of transport and movement. The subway station, which is one of the most popular in the city, was also closed.
