Russia kidnapped 50 civilians from a border village: what is known about the new crime

According to МЗС: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, reported that 50 civilians, mostly elderly women, were kidnapped from the Ukrainian village of Hrabovske near the state border in the Sumy region. The speaker emphasized that the actions of the Russian invaders, who committed the abduction, resemble medieval raids and terrorist acts.

The minister calls for the immediate return of the hostages to their home and the release of other individuals who were forcibly taken to Russia, including Ukrainian children. The statement also contains a call to all countries and international organizations to join the demand for the release of innocent prisoners.

The minister stressed the continued threat to life from Russia and expressed the position that Ukraine needs genuine and lasting peace. He noted that for living alongside terrorists, there is a need for strength and reliable security guarantees.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated about the kidnapping of 50 civilians by Russian invaders and called for their immediate return home, as well as identifying the need for peace and security alongside Russia.
