Implementation of the 'Budget' Information System

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has put into operation the 'Budget' information system for managing financial resources of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main goal of the system is to consolidate data on the planning and use of budget funds within the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces.

The 'Budget' system is built on SAP components, ensuring its modernity and efficiency. Starting from early 2025, all commands and the State Special Transport Service will operate within the system. Currently, over 60% of budget executors in military units are already using the new platform.

Key Advantages of the 'Budget' System

One of the key advantages of the system is the speed of information processing. As Oksana Ferchuk noted:

“One consolidated operational report, which previously required about 800 man-hours, is now prepared three times faster.”

This indicates a significant improvement in the organization of work with financial data.

Furthermore, the 'Budget' system promotes transparency and efficiency in the use of budget funds. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that a modern core for managing defense resources is being created, and the 'Budget' is its key financial component. The implementation of such a system aims to:

optimize expenses;
ensure more effective resource management.
