ISU's response to the inquiry regarding Russian skaters
According to glavcom.ua: The International Skating Union (ISU) has expressed its position regarding the inquiry from 'Glavkom' about Russian skaters who supported the war on social media, although they previously held a 'neutral' status.
'Thank you for your inquiry. We confirm the receipt of your letter and information. ISU takes all matters related to athlete conduct and adherence to our rules seriously. All information received regarding AIN status is being verified according to our procedures. We maintain confidentiality regarding investigations. Any decisions are announced through official ISU channels', - stated in ISU's response.
We remind you that figure skater Ksenia Korzhova liked a post supporting Ukrainian aggression and Vladimir Putin, who is under sanctions, on Instagram. Her colleagues, also with a 'neutral' athlete status, Anna Urazova and Oleksandra Sayutina, also expressed their support for the war.
ISU has taken a serious position regarding athletes' support for the war and promised to conduct thorough checks of athletes' statuses.
