Documentation Services in Frontline Areas
According to Державна міграційна служба: Last week, mobile teams from Ukraine's State Migration Service (SMS) provided vital documentation services to residents in frontline communities of the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. This initiative is crucial for ensuring citizens in these high-risk zones can access essential documents, despite the ongoing conflict and security challenges.
Results from the Mobile Teams' Work
In Kherson Oblast, the mobile units visited the following settlements:
- Chornobaivka
- Petropavlivka
- Kyselivka
- Kalinivka
In this region, the teams processed the following applications:
- 15 applications for ID cards
- 24 applications for international passports
As a result, they issued:
- 12 ID cards
- 30 international passports
They also provided 3 consultations.
In Mykolaiv Oblast, a mobile unit operated in the city of Ochakiv, working under conditions of heightened security complexity. There, they issued:
- 13 ID cards
- 8 international passports
Additionally, they processed applications for:
- 12 ID cards
- 19 international passports
The most in-demand services remain the issuance of passports for travel abroad and the first Ukrainian citizen's passport for those who have reached the age of 14.
Schedules are now being drawn up for the mobile units' next trips, which will allow these essential documentation services to continue reaching communities in need.
The work of the State Migration Service's mobile units in frontline communities is a critical step in ensuring people have access to necessary documents, especially during wartime and under conditions of elevated danger.
This effort not only simplifies the process of obtaining passports but also supports social stability in regions affected by hostilities. The continuation of these mobile visits is vital for communities living under extremely difficult circumstances.
