According to glavcom.ua: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommends federations to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in youth competitions under their flag and anthem. The decision was made at the IOC summit, where participants supported this recommendation. From now on, young athletes from Russia and Belarus will have the opportunity to participate in international competitions, but their access will depend on the regulations of each federation.
It was also stated that these recommendations will apply to the Youth Olympic Games 2026 in Dakar, but restrictions for adult athletes from Russia and Belarus remain in place. The 2026 Olympics will take place in Italy from February 6 to 22.
