According to glavcom.ua: One of the world's most active volcanoes, Kilauea, has once again become active in Hawaii. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing AP.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the eruption is occurring in the Halema'uma'u crater and has become the 31st episode since December 2024.

During the last outbreak, the height of the lava fountains reached nearly 100 meters. The most powerful emissions were recorded from the northern vent, while other areas demonstrated weaker activity.

Experts emphasize that there is currently no threat to the local population or aviation, and the situation is under constant monitoring by observatory centers.

Other Volcanic Eruptions Worldwide

According to open sources, this is the youngest terrestrial volcano in the Hawaiian Islands and the most active in the world. The height of the volcano is 1247 m. Its largest eruption occurred in 1959.

Recall that in Italy, on the largest Italian island of Sicily in the Mediterranean, the highest active volcano in Europe, Etna, has awakened. Authorities have stated that there is currently no danger to the population.

The Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii has become active again, erupting lava in the Halema'uma'u crater. According to experts, the situation remains controlled, and there is no threat to local residents or air traffic. Reminding about the activity of other volcanoes worldwide, one can note the awakening of the beautiful but potentially dangerous Etna in Sicily, which also remains under control.
