Operation 'Midas': scheme of funds transfer to high-ranking official
It is recalled that the day before, NABU and SAP documented a scheme of funds transfer to this high-ranking official as part of Operation 'Midas'. Law enforcement officers recorded the cash transfer of 1.2 million US dollars and nearly 100 thousand euros, which were transferred directly in the office of the criminal organization or at a medical clinic.
According to the investigation, the former official was among those who visited the so-called 'laundry' - a place where the legalization of funds obtained through criminal means was carried out. The 'laundry' was controlled by the leader of the criminal organization uncovered by NABU and SAP.
