On August 13, 2025, lawyer Artem Krykun-Trush, representing ex-MP Alexander Granovsky, received from senior detective of the NABU Internal Control Unit Sergey Grabar a memo about the procedural rights and obligations of the victim.

About the criminal proceedings

The criminal proceedings, in which Alexander Granovsky was granted this status, were opened on November 11, 2022, upon his application. The investigation is being conducted by detectives of the NABU Internal Control Unit under the procedural guidance of SAP prosecutors. The case was initiated due to the probable forgery of electronic evidence by other NABU detectives.

Expert findings and the victim

According to the defense, experts from the state SBU have established that the protocol of covert investigative actions was forged by NABU detectives. After the court became acquainted with these findings, they were attached to the case materials. The delivery of the memo to Alexander Granovsky indicates the official recognition of his status as a victim and grants him a full set of rights.

It was established back in 2023 that Granovsky has the status of a victim. However, according to his defense, NABU deliberately limited the realization of this status and the associated rights for an extended period.

--- The news describes the fact that the lawyer of the former MP's representative received a memo from NABU regarding the criminal proceedings in which the client has the status of a victim. Experts established the forgery of evidence by NABU detectives, which indicates a violation of procedural rights. Furthermore, it points to the deliberate restriction of the victim's rights by NABU in previous years.
