According to hvylya.net: The National Guard of Ukraine has extended the basic training period for recruits to 57 days. According to the commander of the NGU, Oleksandr Pivnenko, this will allow for better preparation of fighters for service.

'This period allows for a deeper assimilation of theoretical knowledge, practicing necessary skills, mastering technical tools, and forming resilience and confidence in the actions of fighters, without which it is impossible to act effectively on the front line,' - explained the commander.

The final stage of training is a three-day field exercise, where guardsmen take an exam in conditions as close to real combat situations as possible.

'During these exercises, servicemen learn to respond to sudden changes in the situation, perform tasks in defense and assault, and organize fire positions. The training course not only summarizes the studied material but also forms in fighters faith in their own strength and a clear understanding of actions in difficult situations,' - added Pivnenko.

Increasing the basic training period in the National Guard is aimed at preparing better qualified fighters capable of effectively performing their duties in service and in any conditions.
