Naftogaz Issues February Gas Bills: The Case for Online Payment
Finalizing February Gas Payments
According to ХВИЛЯ: NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has completed calculating charges for gas consumed in February and is urging customers to use electronic payment methods. The calculations are based on meter readings submitted at the beginning of the month. Digital invoices are already generated and ready for payment, while paper bills, delivered by Ukrposhta, will not arrive before the 20th of February.
Customers could pay for their gas via their personal online account starting February 11th. The gas tariff for households remains fixed at UAH 7.96 per cubic meter until the end of the heating season. However, starting in January 2026, gas transportation charges on bills may increase, as this fee is now calculated based on new consumption volumes from the previous 'gas year'.
Available Digital Payment Platforms
For user convenience, several electronic platforms are available for payments:
- The 'Kub' smartphone application
- A personal account on the website www.my.gas.ua
- GASUA chat-bots in Telegram and Viber messengers
- The gas.ua portal
Using these digital payment channels allows consumers to settle their gas bills promptly and securely.
The completion of February's gas calculations and the emphasis on electronic payment methods highlight Naftogaz's drive to modernize its services in line with contemporary consumer expectations.
Shifting to digital platforms simplifies the payment process and enhances accessibility, a significant advantage during times when in-person payment options may be limited. The company's move aligns with broader digitalization trends in Ukrainian utilities. Potential future adjustments to gas transportation tariffs, which could take effect in 2026, also underscore the importance for consumers to stay informed about their future utility costs.
