“My father doesn't like to talk about it much, but imagine-he's a doctor himself, watching his own child turn blue, unable to do anything. A nurse came over, gave me an injection, and somehow that nurse and prayers saved me,” Buchynska recalls of that critical moment in her life.

Health Struggles and Career Changes

As an adult, Natalia also faced serious health issues. The singer notes that after moving to Kyiv and working with an ensemble, she was hospitalized multiple times due to overstrained vocal cords from touring.

“There were other critical episodes. Right after I moved to Kyiv, I ended up in the hospital several times. I had just started working with the ensemble when we went on a big tour. I collapsed with a professional injury-my vocal cords were overstrained,” recalls Natalia Buchynska.

Additionally, the singer was diagnosed with pyelonephritis, a severe kidney inflammation.

“I had pyelonephritis. It's a very serious inflammation. The pain was intense; I went to the hospital, they examined me, and the doctor said I had to be admitted immediately. But I asked to be let go because I had to see the commander. My condition was critical; they released me on my own signature,” she says of the situation.
