Specialist urged to check mobile networks for the presence of Russian mini-stations
According to hvylya.net: Expert in electronic warfare, Serhii 'Flash' called on Ukrainians to check available mobile networks on their phones to detect possible Russian mini-base stations.
In a social media post on November 2, the specialist emphasized the importance of regularly checking mobile networks, especially during air alerts. 'If you have a free minute, run a search for mobile networks on your phone. Especially during alerts,' the expert wrote.
Flash reminded that there are officially only three mobile operators in Ukraine. 'We have only three operators in the country. If you find something else, it raises alarms,' he noted.

The expert explained that sometimes users may detect networks from neighboring countries due to natural radio wave propagation. 'Sometimes there can be long-range transmission of radio waves, and from high floors, you might temporarily see networks from Belarus or Russia. But if you see such networks constantly, it is necessary to inform the competent authorities,' the specialist warned.
Russians may use mini-base stations in our rear to ensure communication for UAVs, the expert in REB explained.
The publication reminds Ukrainians of the importance of checking mobile networks for the presence of Russian mini-stations that may be used to ensure communication with unmanned aerial vehicles. The expert recommends regularly checking available networks and detecting suspicious signals.
