European producers against Ukrainian eggs

According to hvylya.net: The French association of egg producers CNPO has expressed concern about the sale of Ukrainian eggs, which they believe do not meet European quality standards. The organization considers the use of antibacterial agents in Ukrainian eggs, which are banned in the EU, to be dangerous.

According to the association, at least four studies of eggs from Ukraine showed the presence of components that are a threat to human health.

France's Minister of Agriculture Ann Genevard supported the strengthening of sanitary control and also spoke against the import of eggs with substances prohibited in the European Union. CNPO President Yves-Marie Bode noted that the demand for eggs has increased, prompting some supermarkets to increase imports, which displeased French producers.

Reaction to the conflict

In response to this situation, the French Minister of the Interior called for limiting the import of Ukrainian eggs and strengthening quality control of the products.
