Ukraine and the Netherlands Launch Water Supply Projects: Where Millions of Euros Will Be Spent

According to hvylya.net: Ukraine and the Netherlands plan to enhance cooperation in the water sector under the Ukraine Partnership Facility grant program. This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development.

During a meeting between Deputy Minister Marina Denysiuk and the Netherlands' Vice Minister for International Cooperation Pascal Hrotenhuis, the Ukrainian side proposed to jointly develop and implement water infrastructure projects. One of the paths is the public-private partnership mechanism, which promotes investment and innovative solutions.

'Ukraine and the Netherlands have a unique opportunity to combine efforts for reconstruction. We aim to combine the experience and advanced technologies in water resource management from the Netherlands with our recovery needs to jointly implement projects that will serve as the foundation for sustainable development,' - emphasized Marina Denysiuk.

The ministry also expressed gratitude to the government of the Netherlands for the assistance of 30 million euros, announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome for the years 2025 and 2026. Discussions included enhancing the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Development and the Recovery Agency in implementing public investment management reforms.

Ukraine and the Netherlands plan to strengthen cooperation in the field of water resources, particularly through the implementation of water infrastructure projects via public-private partnership mechanisms. The states also discussed support from the Netherlands in the recovery of Ukraine and plans to enhance institutional capacity in public investment management.
