The new season of the Women's Higher League starts in mid-October: team overview

According to glavcom.ua: The new season in the Women's Higher League will begin in mid-October with changes, reports Glavcom, referencing the FBU. Now the league has two new teams - MOBI-SDYUSHOR from Kyiv and BC KhAI-Composition of Kharkiv region. These newcomers will replace those that will not participate in the new season.

From the previous season, there will be Franykivsk-PNU-DYUSH-2, Rivne-OSHVSM-OSDYUSHOR, the Poltava region team - BC Poltava-Basket-SumDPU-KDUSSH№1, Kozachka-KPU-ODYUSH (Zaporizhzhia), SDYUSHOR-4 (Mykolaiv), KIVS-SKIF (Lviv), and InterChem-2 (Odesa). The season will consist of two stages - in the first, teams will compete in two rounds using a round-robin calendar system, and in the second, the four best teams from the first stage will play.

The national men's team of Ukraine won the pre-qualification for the World Championship 2027 from the first place in the group, advancing to the main round of qualification for the world championship.
