Participant's memories

According to participant Krzysztof Pyra, the struggle with the fish lasted over an hour and a half.

When we finally saw it, we couldn't believe our eyes - enormous, incredible fish, head like a barrel! A real giant! After measuring it turned out to be 292 cm - this is a new record not only for Poland but for the whole world

Favorite place for fishermen

After the official measurement and photo session, the catfish was released back into the water. The Rybnik Reservoir, known as Rybnik Lake, is a favorite spot for fishermen due to the warm water from the Rybnik Power Plant, where large catfish and carp live, which often become trophies in competitions.
