In Ternopil, the New Year tree was canceled due to the Russian missile attack

The New Year tree celebration in Ternopil's Theatre Square has been canceled this year. Mayor Serhiy Nadal explained that after the tragedy on November 19, when nearly 40 Ternopil residents lost their lives, the installation of the tree would not be in line with the spirit of the times.

Instead, a Christmas manger will be installed in the Theatre Square, symbolizing the revival of the nation. This decision was made following the Russian aggression, which resulted in the deaths of 34 people, including six children, and injuries to nearly a hundred others.

Thanks to the rescuers, the lives of 39 adults and seven children were saved, and the debris removal at the site of the missile strike on the buildings was completed on the evening of November 22.
