Official dollar exchange rate on February 3, 2026: the currency has become more expensive again

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official dollar exchange rate to the hryvnia for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the level of 42.97 UAH per dollar. Thus, the Ukrainian currency has weakened by another 16 kopecks compared to the previous day. This is reported by UNIAn.

At the same time, the hryvnia showed the opposite dynamics against the euro. The official exchange rate of the European currency on February 3 was fixed by the regulator at 50.91 UAH per euro, indicating a strengthening of the hryvnia by 11 kopecks.

According to the data from the National Bank of Ukraine, as of 4:00 PM, the quotations of the hryvnia against the dollar on the interbank currency market were 43.04/43.07 UAH/USD. The euro exchange rate on the interbank market was fixed at the level of 51.01/51.03 UAH/euro.

Dollar exchange rate in Ukraine: situation in the cash market

In the cash market, the exchange rate of the American currency has also increased. In PrivatBank, the dollar has risen by 10 kopecks and was sold at 43.10 UAH. At the same time, the euro exchange rate decreased immediately by 30 kopecks to 51.30 UAH.

The currency purchase rates in the bank were:

• US dollar - 42.50 UAH

• euro - 50.30 UAH.

On global markets on February 2, the US dollar strengthened against a number of currencies sensitive to commodity prices. The increase occurred amid falling gold and silver prices, which had the greatest impact on the currencies of Australia, New Zealand, and Norway.

It is worth noting that in January 2026, the exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar demonstrated significant volatility. Economist Oleksiy Plotnikov explains this by the need to align the real exchange rate with that assumed in the budget and the profitability of converting financial assistance.
