Occupiers plan to open a drama theater in Mariupol for performances and concerts

Russian occupiers announced that renovation work at the Mariupol drama theater is complete, and the establishment plans to open its doors in December this year. Now, the former place of suffering for local residents will become a venue for Russian performances and concerts.

“To stage Russian plays and arrange a 'black rainbow' on the bones of Mariupol residents who died during the occupation,” it was emphasized in the local council.

New houses in Mariupol have started to collapse due to poor construction quality

After the occupation of the city, new residential buildings of the 'Nevsky' complex, built in 2023 in a rush, have begun to show distinctive signs of collapse. The cladding is falling off, and housing standards do not withstand even short-term use.

“These houses are not inferior in quality to good Moscow apartments,” noted former President of Russia Vladimir Putin during a construction inspection two years ago.

But now it is clear that haste and insufficient quality of work have led to the rapid destruction of housing in Mariupol.

After the occupation of Mariupol by Russian invaders, Ukrainians are facing the consequences of prolonged war and ruthless occupation. Unsatisfactory quality of housing construction and the arbitrariness of the military in Mariupol become yet another sad aspect of this situation.
