Heating in Kyiv may be supplied only in a month: the reason named

The heating season in Kyiv may start with a delay, leading to a lack of warmth in the homes of residents. The head of the Consumers' Union of Utility Services Oleg Popenko noted that due to shelling and problems with the restoration of heating networks, in some areas it may appear later than expected.

'The heating season will begin depending on the city and the heating season. In Kyiv, they may succumb to populist intentions. I see absolute populism in supplying heat when it is warm enough outside,' emphasized the expert.

Popenko also noted that the problem with pipe repairs and network maintenance could significantly complicate the beginning of the heating season. In 2020, due to a leak, heating started being supplied to houses only on December 1, which indicates the difficulties in maintaining the heating system in proper condition. It is also important to address the issue of many buildings that have not yet been put into operation to avoid immediate accidents.
