Heating and electricity tariffs in winter: what awaits Ukrainians
According to hvylya.net: Tariffs for central heating also remain frozen, which means that in the upcoming heating season, an increase in heating bills should not be expected.
According to information from the 24 Channel material, natural gas prices for the population will remain unchanged – 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter at least until the end of April 2026. This decision was made in the context of martial law, which has been in effect since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Will electricity costs increase?
The cost of electricity will also remain stable: the basic tariff is 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour. For households using electric heating, a preferential regime allows the purchase of the first 2,000 kilowatt-hours at 2.64 hryvnias per unit, after which the regular price applies.
Special attention is paid to gas reserves, which are a key issue before the heating season begins. The government has set a goal to ensure gas reserves of up to 13 billion cubic meters before the cold weather, considering that last summer they were only 9 billion cubic meters, which is the minimum level in 11 years.
The message reveals that no changes in tariffs for natural gas, central heating, and electricity are anticipated for Ukrainians. This means that the cost of services will remain at the same level at least until the end of April 2026. This may alleviate the financial burden on the population amid economic instability and martial law.
