Pope Francis Leo XIV has made his first apostolic exhortation, calling on the world to help immigrants and sharply criticizing anti-immigration policies, particularly those of American President Donald Trump. The document also notes the needs of the poor in the world and critiques anti-immigration policies. Pope Leo XIV called for changes in the global market system and warned of the consequences of wealth accumulation. Additionally, the first foreign visits of the new Pontiff to Turkey and Lebanon are announced for late November – early December.
