Citizens of Ukraine with a disability of group II, serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, will continue to receive pension payments according to current legislation, the Pension Fund of Ukraine reported.

The decision on pension accrual depends on whether the serviceman is in the register of insured persons. If, after a medical examination, a soldier with a disability of group II remains in service, the pension will be accrued throughout the entire period of service and for another 60 days after discharge. After the next examination, payments will be extended for the period determined by the expert commission.

Depending on the disability group, the size of pensions for servicemen is determined as follows: Group I – 100% of monetary provision; Group II – 80%; Group III – 60%.

Starting from January 1, 2025, the system for determining the degree of incapacity for work will be revised, and the expert commission will assess the level of daily functioning of the individual for the appointment of pension payments.

Ukrainian servicemen with a disability of group II, serving in the Armed Forces, can continue to receive pension payments in accordance with current legislation. The size of the pension depends on the disability group, and changes in the system for determining the degree of incapacity for work will occur in 2025.
