Pensions in Ukraine: how payments will be calculated from 2025

According to hvylya.net: The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how retirement pensions are calculated according to the legislation. The salary is multiplied by the insurance length coefficient, resulting in the final outcome – the size of the pension.

To calculate pension payments, three important components are used: the average salary, the wage coefficient of the insured person, and the insurance length coefficient. The last component is calculated using a specific formula that takes into account the months of service and the assessment value for the year.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine provided an example of pension calculation for one of the citizens. According to these calculations, he will receive a pension of 15,066.88 hryvnias from September 2025.

Improvements in earnings, higher minimum pensions, pension indexing, and other changes in pension legislation will allow retirees to have more social protection and optimal conditions for receiving a decent pension.
