Ukraine's Pension Fund Allocates 24.6 Billion Hryvnias: A Breakdown of Expenditures

According to Пенсії (RSS): On February 9, the Pension Fund of Ukraine released its financial report detailing payments to citizens and services provided. As of that date, the fund had financed 24.6 billion hryvnias for pension payments. Of this total, 4.3 billion hryvnias were distributed via JSC 'Ukrposhta' (the national postal service), while 20.3 billion hryvnias were paid through authorized banks.
Social Benefits and Service Volume
Beyond pensions, the fund allocated 4.6 billion hryvnias for housing subsidies and benefits, 1.8 billion for insurance payments, and 0.6 billion for sick leave compensation. An additional 5.1 million hryvnias was designated for state aid and other payments. In February, the Pension Fund's offices also provided 436,1 thousand services to individuals who applied for assistance.
This report highlights the Pension Fund's significant operational scale, which is a cornerstone of Ukraine's social safety net. Ensuring the continuity of pension and social support is a critical government function, particularly amid the ongoing economic pressures facing the nation.
