Ukraine's Pension Fund Allocates 23.9 Billion Hryvnias to Social Programs
Funding for Social Payments by Ukraine's Pension Fund
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of March 8, Ukraine's Pension Fund has financed social payments totaling 23.9 billion hryvnias and provided services to citizens. In March alone, the fund's offices provided 425.9 thousand services to individuals who applied for assistance. This substantial allocation is part of the government's ongoing effort to support its citizens during a period of economic strain.
The total sum was distributed as follows:
- 3.4 billion hryvnias were paid out via Ukrposhta JSC;
- 20.5 billion hryvnias were disbursed through authorized banks;
- 4.6 billion hryvnias for housing subsidies and benefits;
- 1.7 billion hryvnias for insurance payments, of which 0.5 billion was allocated for sick leave compensation;
- 2.2 billion hryvnias for state aid and other payments.

These figures demonstrate the Pension Fund's active operations amid Ukraine's current socio-economic challenges. Financing social payments and providing services are crucial steps in supporting the population, particularly given the context of rising housing and utility costs.
