Ukraine's Pension Fund Allocates 49 Billion Hryvnias: A Breakdown of Expenditures
Funding for Social Payments by Ukraine's Pension Fund
According to Пенсії (RSS): As of March 17, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has financed a range of social payments and provided a substantial volume of services. In March alone, the fund delivered 968.7 thousand services. This activity is a key component of the nation's social safety net, especially during a period of significant economic strain.
Breakdown of Financial Allocations
Of the total financial disbursements, pension payments accounted for 49.3 billion hryvnias. The distribution of these pension funds was as follows:
- 8.1 billion hryvnias were paid out via JSC Ukrposhta;
- 41.2 billion hryvnias were distributed through authorized banks.
In addition, 4.6 billion hryvnias were allocated for housing subsidies and benefits, 2.7 billion for insurance payments, and 1.5 billion for sick leave compensation. State aid and other payments totaled 9.0 billion hryvnias.
The scale of these allocations underscores the Pension Fund's active role in providing social protection for citizens. The significant sums directed toward pensions and other support highlight the critical importance of state assistance amid ongoing economic challenges. Furthermore, the increase in the number of services provided reflects the fund's efforts to improve public access to essential social guarantees.
