Ukrainian Pension Fund Disburses 65.7 Billion Hryvnias in Early 2024

According to Пенсії (RSS): Ukraine's Pension Fund has released a report detailing its social benefit expenditures and service provision as of January 28. The total amount allocated for pension payments reached 65.7 billion hryvnias. Of this sum, 8.9 billion hryvnias were distributed via JSC 'Ukrposhta' (the national postal service), while 56.8 billion hryvnias were paid out through authorized banks.

In addition, 5.0 billion hryvnias were spent on housing subsidies and benefits, and 3.1 billion hryvnias on insurance payments, of which 1.9 billion hryvnias were allocated for sick leave compensation. A further 8.9 billion hryvnias were designated for state aid and other social benefits.

Volume of Services Provided

In January, the Pension Fund of Ukraine provided services to 1,340,600 individuals who applied to its offices.

This report highlights the substantial financial resources the Pension Fund channels into supporting the population. The significant sums allocated for pensions and social payments underscore the critical role of state support for citizens, particularly amidst ongoing economic pressures. With over 1.3 million people receiving services, the data indicates the institution's active role in meeting the social needs of Ukrainians.
