According to hvylya.net: Ukrainians living in the mountains will be able to receive an increase in their pension of 20%. It has also been reported who else is entitled to additional payments in the country. Of course, there are certain conditions for this.

As reported by 'Hvylya', this is mentioned in Cabinet Resolution No. 793.

Who is entitled to compensation

  • pensioners;
  • people with disabilities;
  • recipients of social pensions;
  • low-income families;
  • orphaned children and children deprived of parental care;
  • students receiving state scholarships;
  • everyone receiving social assistance from the state.

Conditions for receiving compensation at the place of residence

  • residence or work in mountain settlements for at least 6 consecutive months;
  • not being abroad for more than 60 days (except for medical reasons);
  • not receiving pensions or social payments in other places.

Termination of payments

If violations are found, compensation may be terminated: if a person does not actually reside at the declared address, stays abroad for an extended period without valid reasons, or receives social payments in another place. Address checks are carried out at least twice a year. If the recipient does not confirm their place of residence within a month after the check, payments will be stopped and the person will be notified by phone or online.

Other pension supplements in Ukraine

Ukrainian retirees may receive other supplements. For example, additional payments are provided for people over 70 years old. There are compensations for the care of lonely elderly citizens who need constant attention. Veterans and their families receive an additional 590 hryvnias (25% of the subsistence minimum for the disabled).

Cabinet Resolution No. 793 defines the right of Ukrainians to receive additional pension payments in 2025. According to this document, pensioners living in mountainous areas can receive compensation of 20% of their pension payments. The resolution also specifies who else may receive additional payments and what conditions must be met. In case of violations, payments may be terminated, so it is essential to carefully adhere to the conditions and requirements set by the government.
