Winner of 'Karaoke on Maidan' Sold His Hyundai Prize and Bought a BMW in Berlin
Dima Prokopov's Car Prize Victory
According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Singer Dima Prokopov became the owner of a Hyundai Accent after winning it in the 2017 season finale of the popular Ukrainian TV show. He received the keys to the brand-new vehicle shortly after the New Year holidays. Accompanied by his father, Prokopov traveled to Kyiv to handle the paperwork at the dealership, where show organizers quickly managed all the formalities and transferred ownership within just one hour.
Under the terms of his contract, Prokopov was prohibited from selling the car for six months. Additionally, the vehicle's body had to retain the sponsor's advertising decals as part of the agreement. During this period, the singer submitted weekly video reports to confirm he was actively using the car.
'I drove it for a year and a half. The only condition from the sponsor was that I couldn't sell it for six months and couldn't remove the stickers-it was their advertising. I sent a video report about once a week, usually near the fortress. It was fun; everyone knew which car that was.' - Dima Prokopov.
Switching to a BMW X4
After a year and a half with the Hyundai Accent, the singer decided to upgrade. He sold both of his existing cars and, adding his own savings, purchased a new vehicle-a BMW X4-which he acquired in Berlin. The BMW X4 remains in Prokopov's possession to this day, marking a new chapter in his automotive story.
This narrative highlights not only Prokopov's success in show business but also the importance of contractual obligations in the world of advertising and sponsorship. Prize winnings often come with specific usage conditions that can influence a winner's decisions. The switch to a BMW X4 may signal a new phase in the singer's life, as well as his growing financial stability, enabling him to invest in a more prestigious mode of transport.
