Peaches and Plums in August: How Much They Cost in Supermarkets and Markets
Summer is already coming to an end, and many people want to enjoy the last sunny days and delicious summer fruits, especially peaches and plums. According to the websites zakaz.ua and the Capital Market, these fruits can be quite expensive.
In supermarkets, peaches can be purchased for prices ranging from 136 to 189 hryvnias per kilogram, while imported varieties cost between 155 and 195 hryvnias. Meanwhile, at the markets, Ukrainian peaches are sold from 60 to 100 hryvnias, which is significantly cheaper than in supermarkets.
As for plums, they can also vary in price range. In supermarkets, they are priced between 32 and 219 hryvnias per kilogram, while at the markets their price ranges from 20 to 45 hryvnias per kilogram, making them more accessible to a wider range of consumers.
Summer is coming to an end, and while the prices for peaches and plums may be high in supermarkets, they are much more affordable at the markets. Therefore, when looking for fresh summer fruits, it is worth comparing prices at different points of sale to avoid overpaying.
