The State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety reminds passengers of their rights

The State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety (GSBT-Ukrtransbezpeka) reminded passengers how to act in case of an unjustified refusal by a public transport driver for discounted travel.

According to information from the agency's press service, Ukrainian law guarantees free travel for certain categories of the population, such as war veterans, disabled individuals, combatants, orphaned children, large families, and other socially vulnerable citizens.

If a passenger has the relevant document and the driver refuses discounted travel without grounds, citizens can report this on the official GSBT portal.

To file a complaint, it is necessary to record the vehicle number, route, time of the incident, and, if possible, obtain witness testimonies. All this information should be included when contacting through the service's electronic portal.

Ukrtransbezpeka emphasizes the importance of knowing one's rights and the opportunities to protect them on public transport.
