Ukrainian pensioners who received cash compensation for funeral expenses retain the right to receive housing subsidies. According to current legislation, funeral payments and other social assistance are not taken into account when calculating income for receiving subsidies for utility services. This approach also applies to other types of social assistance, such as assistance for childbirth or special payments to women with the honorary title of 'Mother-Heroine.'
In addition to funeral assistance, the authorities excluded other social payments from the subsidy calculation, such as one-time payments for the birth of a child, adoption assistance, support for orphans, and care for children under guardianship or custody.
The Pension Fund emphasized that this principle also applies to the housing assistance program for displaced persons from combat zones. This important clarification helps Ukrainians understand the conditions for receiving subsidies for utility services.
