According to Главком: On January 8, a police officer Yevgen Cherevko saved an 85-year-old woman who got lost under the snow. The woman was found under the snow hundreds of meters from her home. She had spent several hours under the snow and was in a disoriented and weakened state. As a result of prolonged exposure to the cold, doctors diagnosed her with superficial frostbite of her hands, feet, and face.

Police officer Yevgen Cherevko found the woman in less than an hour after the search began. After the woman was found, she was taken to a house, covered with an emergency blanket, and an ambulance was called. The woman was hospitalized for essential medical assistance.
