Polish Border Guards Injured in Tbilisi: Details of the Attack During Extradition

According to glavcom.ua: Two Polish border guards suffered serious injuries in Tbilisi during a joint operation with Frontex. The assailant attacked the convoys with a knife and metal rods, and authorities are currently investigating his connection with the extradited individuals.

“Two of our employees were hospitalized with serious head injuries. One underwent surgery, the other is in surgery,” said Border Guard spokesperson Andrzej Juzwiak.

The local police have initiated an investigation into the incident, while Poland and Ukraine are strengthening border security with Belarus, implementing security and monitoring measures.

As a result of a joint operation with Frontex, two Polish border guards suffered serious injuries in Tbilisi, but their health status remains unknown. The Polish and Ukrainian authorities are intensifying their border protection amid rising tensions and increased border crossings by foreigners.
