In the early hours of July 6, Kyiv came under a massive Russian attack, leading to a day of mourning in the city on July 7 for those killed in the assault.

National Police Chief Ihor Klymenko stated: 'In Vyshneve, due to the threat of secondary detonations, we have begun evacuating residents from the danger zone. Over 500 people have already been temporarily moved while cleanup operations continue. We are also inspecting damaged private homes to ensure no one is left behind.'

The Vyshneve municipal territorial community urged residents to stay calm and follow instructions from emergency services, advising them to bring documents, necessary medications, water, and essential items. 'First, please submit claims through the Diia app. If you don’t have Diia, contact the Administrative Services Center (TsNAP). TsNAP will begin operations today around 10:00 AM,' the city council added, noting that some of its staff were also affected.

Air quality in the capital has also deteriorated. Russia’s Ministry of Defense commented on the massive strike on Kyiv overnight on July 6, which triggered emergency measures in Vyshneve and surrounding areas.

The situation in Vyshneve underscores the serious threat posed by the attack on Kyiv and highlights the importance of swift action by local authorities and law enforcement to ensure public safety. The evacuation of over 500 people reflects the scale of the danger and the need for protective measures amid ongoing military aggression. The worsening air quality could further impact residents’ health, emphasizing the urgency of timely evacuations and support for those affected.

In light of the recent evacuation in Vyshneve due to the threat of secondary explosions, it's crucial for residents to prioritize their safety. To support the community in navigating these challenging times, mobile safety classes have been introduced. These initiatives aim to equip locals with essential knowledge and skills for emergency situations, ensuring that they are better prepared for any future incidents.
